Joe and I did. His dad cooked the most amazing BBQ that until this day, I really regret not finishing my whole plate. It was that good. If BBQ isn't your style, this wonderful cookbook from the artisan bakera Metropolitan Bakery in Philadelphia has delicious looking recipes including an awesome looking coconut cake and finger foods that look mouthwatering. They even have a few recipes available online.

Food & Wine

I love food. And if you're like how I was, having awesome food at your wedding is top priority. But you can have great food without getting it catered if you have some family help and some great recipes up your sleeve. Nom Nom Nom!

Maybe you wouldn't automatically think that the items shown below are edible. But I have absolutely fallen in love with these cookies. Yes, that's right, COOKIES! They look so beautiful and are a great idea for a perfect wedding favor. These cookies, by BB Sweets, are individually wrapped, which means you can pair them off with some colorful thread and some labels, and you're set! Shop owner Brooke, has a bunch of nifty designs that range from classic Victorian cameo cookies to more upbeat and colorful cookies like the ones shown below, all of which look not only gorgeous, but scrumptious too!

Chocolate Covered Jalapenos

Is your hubby looking for someway to help with your handmade wedding? Try getting him to whip up some of these spicy, yet awesome chocolate covered jalapeƱos. You can also order them from Chocolate Covered Company in batches of one or two pounds, in various chocolate types. These are also a great idea for bachelor parties, and are a different way to spice things up!
