Happy Thanksgiving

Joe and I want to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

One of the things that I'm most thankful for is having such an amazing husband.

It's a beautiful thing so happy planning!

Inspiration Board #32: Forest Fall

Are you having a forest fall wedding? As soon as I saw the rhinestone headpiece by Twigs & Honey I knew that I wanted this inspiration board to be forest themed. Maybe you wouldn't necessarily think of having a forest wedding, but imagine it! Lights, and paper lanterns hanging from trees, rustic settings, a bride that looks elfin, birds chirping during the ceremony! I think it sounds pretty darn romantic. If you're convinced, and ready to take the forest wedding leap, below are some great handmade items to get you started.

Real Weddings: Detzaira + Nathan

One of my friends from high school got married a couple weeks ago in Half Moon Bay. The threatening clouds looming over the coast dissipated by the time we reached the ranch venue where the wedding was taking place. I was stoked that the day turned out to be filled with sunshine and warmth; it was a perfect day for a Mexican-themed country wedding.

It was a beautiful set up and I knew that I would have plenty to share with you all! The following are some of the photographs that Joe and I took throughout the day. I loved all the fun little details from the colorful and white paper banners to the marshmallow station to the delectable cuisine. The food was phenomenal! They served authentic Mexican tacos in small corn tortillas that were just delicious. It was definitely a wedding that added a Mexican twist to a farm/ranch style event, and there are lots of handmade ideas to take in. I also loved their wildflower bouquets and wedding table arrangement. Oh, and their chairs were awesome!

p.s. A big congrats to Detzaira and Nathan!

To Us: A Wedding Treasury

Fall is just around the corner, and although the majority of brides and grooms complete their nuptials during the summer months, fall weddings are close to second in popularity. When I envision a fall wedding, I see fall leaves and rustic settings. Although I would naturally pair these images with fall colors such as orange or yellow hues similar to that of changing leaves, I don't. I think of white and cream colors like in this wedding treasury by Modred Vintage on Etsy.

S'mores Yum

Joe has been working on our wedding Pinterest lately and he's been finding a bunch of really great stuff to share. We both especially like this s'mores bar idea, which would go nicely with the upcoming cold weather. I know a lot of people don't get married in the winter, but if you're one of the ones that are, why not consider making something similar? A hot drinks bar would be nice too!

Champagne Flutes

Every time I see these awesome hand painted champagne flutes from Nevena Art Glass in my favorites list on Etsy, I can't help but stop and stare.

They are so beautiful and unique, perfect for that vintage or princess feeling wedding.

Joe and I got champagne flutes from Anthropologie for our wedding that I absolutely loved, and these really have a similar vibe.

They also seem perfect for the upcoming fall season. I can totally see these at an October fall wedding with their leaf-like design. So romantic!

What's your glassware idea for your wedding?

P.S. I've discovered that you can use HTML tables on blog posts! Be ready for some interesting blog post designs in the future!

P.S.S. For all of those getting married in the next few weeks, remember to take some time to just relax. Try using these bath bombs.
